Finite Strips
The HyGEARS "Finite Strips" are a 2D subset of the Finite Element Analysis. The Finite Strips calculate tooth deformation and bending
stresses instantly without having to resort to an external solver, a real time saver.
The Finite Strips provide a user friendly interface

typical CPU times (meshing and solving) are less than 0.1 second

meshing is done automatically,
without any user intervention.

Finite Strips offer a precision comparable to that of Finite Elements, without the complexity of FEA.

The figure to the right shows the deformation of a hypoid gear tooth under load. Load is applied to a user-selected instant
line of contact on the Bearing Pattern.
